International Youth Camp in Bad Bergzabern

Driving pedal boats is always exciting

When four Rotary Clubs from different countries join, an international action must be the result. And so it became a tradition that the Rotary Clubs of Bad Bergzabern, Pirmasens, Kingston upon Thames and Poissy mutually organize an annual youth camp. This year it took place in Bad Bergzabern, last year in Kingston upon Thames and the year before in Poissy.

Every club invites two boys and two girls aged 16 to 19. In 2003, four young people from Bydgoszcz (Poland) had been invited, too. The program covered both sports and culture. It provided a lot of communication opportunities between different nations.

Guided tours in Landau and Bad Bergzabern, Deutsche Weinstraße (German Wine Road), rock climbing in Hauenstein, games and sports at a flooded gravel pit and a lot of parties together with Rotarians took place. Many Rotarians were engaged to foster communication between generations, too.
