New Website

Relaunch of D.1860's Internet Appearance

1 1/2 years ago, District 1860 launched its web site for the first time. Then it was set up rapidly, and by the time it had grown more and more. New contents were added, other contents got old and had to be removed. By December 2002, it was time to implement a new structure and a new outfit.

All pages look similar now. As before, all important information is offered on the home page, which has been split into four main sections:

• at the upper part you'll find the navigation bar - on all pages (marked in yellow)
• at left you'll find our current schedule of important events in the district (marked in green)
• actual news is held in the center of the page (markd in magenta)
• at right you'll find shortcuts to frequently requested pages as well as a short editorial (marked in brown)

Probably from March 2003 on, you will be able to use our search function. Thus you'll quicker find the information requested.

During two months our DICO Norbert Schreiner spent his free time to develop a database, which holds all standard information. 12 tables, 10 forms and some 3,000 lines of program code help to maintain all data with a minimum amount of time.
